I like to think I eat fairly healthy, but more often than not I realize that isn’t actually true at all. In fact I realized recently I’ve been capping off the night with a large bowl or two of sugary cereal. This is horrible! But for some reason, it’s like I have no willpower. I’m walking towards the pantry saying ‘don’t do it, don’t do it.’ But then I still pour the bowl and devour it and honestly…it feels good.

But this is so bad haha. It wouldn’t be bad at all if this was an occasional thing, but let me tell you it is NOT. So! I’m really trying to not do that anymore and stumbled upon a genius recipe that gives me the flavor/taste of cereal without any guilt at all.

Before I dive in, I’ll have you know the cereal of choice lately (it’s always changing) is Cinnamon Life, so I’m loving this delicious cinnamon flavor. And I eat my cereal with almond milk so…I put two and two together and thought, what if I had cinnamon almond milk without the cereal?

Genius.

I pour a nice mug full of sugar-free vanilla almond milk, then I sprinkled in a heft hefty amount of cinnamon and maybe a teaspoon of maple syrup and heated it up in the microwave and it was absolutely delicious and so satisfying for that sweet tooth I have! I kid you not.

Pickles are my go-to snack when I’m feeling like something salty and savory, but I could never find a sweet something to get rid of sweet cravings since fruit never worked. But let me tell you, this does.

Give it a try and let me know what you think! Is there anyone else out there who loves cereal as much as I do? I’d probably choose cereal over cookies any day, so maybe this drink is particular to my childlike taste buds, but it’s delicious regardless!
