Skincare is one of my number one priorities. I’m much more inclined to spend on skincare than I am on makeup. After all, the goal of makeup is to enhance our beauty. So why not make the job of makeup easier by providing it with a beautiful canvas?

Although I know a bit about skincare, I still have so much to learn. Until then, I do have rather strict morning and nighttime routines, so I want to break them down into two posts: my morning routine and my nighttime routine. Let’s start with the morning.

Step 1: I never wash my face in the morning. I do, however, always splash my face with warm water. I like to maintain the moisture in my face from the products used the night before, so a splash of water does the job.

Step 2: I apply Candid’s Vitamin C serum, which I love because it contains vitamin c, vitamin e, ferulic acid and hyaluronic acid. This is great for lightening dark spots, incorporating antioxidants into your skincare and fighting free radicals.

Step 3: Time for SPF. I NEVER skip this step; this is vital. I also avoid the sun for the most part, but I still am never without SPF. Right now I’m using CeraVe, but my favorite one is Purlisse SPF 30 sunscreen because it doesn’t feel like regular sunscreen. It melts right into my skin and makes my face feel super hydrated.

Step 4: After sunscreen, I always like to apply an additional moisturizer. Right now I’m using Neutrogena Hydro Boost, but I also absolutely love Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrate. This is my absolute favorite moisturizer for morning and night.

That’s it! This really only takes a couple of minutes and having a solid skincare routine is so important. If you guys have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Tune in tomorrow for my nighttime routine.
