I just finished midterms for esthetician school and am officially over halfway done! I can’t believe it. Time is flying and going by at a normal place, all at the same time. I’m excited for graduation and nervous too. I’ve been having such a wonderful time in school and have made lifelong friends already. I’ll be sad when we all part ways on graduation day. But luckily, about half of us will be going on to the master’s program together, which I’m really looking forward to.

I don’t have my scores back yet for midterms, but am feeling pretty confident that I passed them. Our midterms consisted of three tests and three practical exams in which we gave a facial, performed microdermabrasion and waxed the legs, underarms and brows. I can’t believe that I’m actually doing these things with confidence, considering how scary they once seemed to me. But practice makes perfect, which is another reason I absolutely love being school and am looking forward to the master’s program.

So far, my favorite treatments are microdermabrasion, nanoneedling, peels, leg and underarm waxing and lash lifts. These things deliver such noticeable results, which is exactly what I got into this field for. I love how you can walk into a room with an esthetician feeling dull, aged, dry and lacking confidence, then come out with a radiant glow looking better than ever, and I can’t wait to provide that to my clients one day soon.
