All my best friends know this at this point, but I still wanted to share it here. I’ve made the decision to go to esthetician school! And, honestly, it was a result of creating this blog. Shortly after starting this blog, I started to get a lot of questions from my friends about skincare products: what products are right for them, what products they should use at what times, what products I’d recommend to them etc. And as much as I tried to provide them with the right answers, the reality is that I am not an expert. I’m just someone who has a major interest in all things skincare. So, I decided that I want to become an expert. I want to know the ins and outs of skincare products and their ingredients, different skin types and how to help people improve whatever skin issues they may have, so this is the decision I came to.

I’ll be attending the Euro Institute of Skin Care here in Washington, starting in November. Then, if all goes as planned, I will have a nearly two-month break and subsequently will start an advanced program in order to become a master esthetician to perform IPL, microdermabrasion, laser hair removal etc. I am very excited for this step in my life and feel like this is definitely a path that makes sense for who I am. But, that doesn’t mean that I know how this will all work out.

In fact, I was talking with my boyfriend about confusion in life and how I don’t know if being an esthetician will be my end-all, be-all, but I do know that I want to learn as much as I can and figure everything else out along the way. I don’t know exactly where my life is going and that’s ok. It definitely scares me, but I’m taking the steps to figure it all out and that’s what matters.

If you have any questions about the program I’m enrolling in or anything at all, please feel free to reach out via my contact page!
