Ever since I was in 8th grade, yes you read that right, I’ve LOVED chai tea lattes. I remember going to the coffee stand at our high school every single day to get a sugary sweet chai latte with vanilla of course, having no idea what I was even consuming other than something absolutely delicious.

Fast-forward to today and I still love chai lattes, but I’m consuming them much less frequently than the good ol’ high school days. I had a period of time where I’d make them myself using sugar-free chai mix and sugar-free vanilla syrup with nonfat milk once I realized how bad these sweet drinks can be for you, but that was back in the sugar-free this/sugar-free that days. And, to be honest, looking back, I should have realized how artificial those tasted.

So now, if I do get a chai, I get regular milk and no syrup at all. But that occasional indulgence doesn’t always satisfy my craving.

Sometimes I’ll brew up an actual chai tea and add milk to it, but I’ve been craving something….more as of late, which is why I was so happy when my parents stumbled upon Blue Lotus Chai at our new local grocery store.

Blue Lotus Chai makes this deliciously spicy chai powder mix and it comes in a few different flavors, but the one I’ve been stuck on is the Golden Masala Chai featuring turmeric and maca! Even healthier! And what I love most about this chai is that there are no sweeteners, no milk powder, no artificial colors, no preservatives, no artificial flavors, no additives, nada! Just real, good organic chai spices.

Each tin of this deliciousness makes 100 cups of chai, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. Next time I’d like to try their traditional version and the rooibos one. So excited about this comfort in a cup!
