I picked up The Perfect Nanny a while back and just got around to reading it and devoured it in one day! It was a page turner because of how it started out, which was with a bang. But as I got to the end, I have to say I was actually pretty disappointed.

The story is about a family that hires a seemingly perfect nanny who does it all: cooks, cleans, makes the kids happy, makes the parents happy, organizes, etc. The beginning of the book lets the reader know that the nanny was clearly far from perfect, which essentially spoils the end of this story. However, I figured because they gave so much away, there had to be some crazy explanation provided with some twists and turns, but instead the story turned into the unfolding of the nanny’s character, which was honestly less than thrilling.

When I got to the end, I thought there would more that pertained to the beginning of the book, but there really wasn’t. I was left feeling disappointed and the opposite of entertained. In fact, I felt like I had wasted the day reading this. That’s my two cents. If you read it, I’d love to hear your opinion, but this is not a book I’d recommend.
